Upper Endoscopy

UPPER ENDOSCOPY

An Upper Endoscopy is a procedure that lets your doctor see inside part of your digestive tract. Your doctor can look at your esophagus, stomach, and part of the small intestine. It uses an instrument called an endoscope, or scope for short. Scopes have a tiny camera attached to a long, thin tube. During the procedure, you will be given medicine to block pain and make you feel sleepy.
